Ruth Obee is the author of three collections of poetry: Looking out from the Hindu Kush, A Sense of Place, and most recently, Convergences (2020). She is a regular contributor to the Cheyenne Mountain Heritage Center Kiva magazine. Her poems and stories have appeared in a variety of national and local journals and anthologies, including: Pulse of the River (Johnson Books), The Journal of Commonwealth Literature, The Christian Science Monitor, The University of Denver Quarterly, Short Story International, World magazine (Peace Corps), Ranger Rick wildlife magazine, Cricket, Spider, and Cicada magazines for children, the Colorado Springs Independent, Peak and Prairie (Rocky Mountain Chapter, Sierra Club), The Silver Lode (anthology of the Colorado State Poetry Society), Colorado Life, and a nation-wide anthology of poetry dedicated to Malala: Poems for Malala Yousafzai (Future Cycle Press).
